TYLER, TEXAS – UT Tyler women's tennis has jumped themselves into the top 50 of the ITA Rankings as they are ranked 45
th in the first edition of the in-season rankings.
The ranking this week is the highest ranking of the Division II era for the Patriots and also marks the first time they are ranked this season.
The Patriots have posted a strong start to the year, standing at 5-3 on the year thus far. After an 0-2 start, UT Tyler bounced back with five straight wins before dropping an extremely close match to Mississippi College on Sunday.
Brooklyn Ross leads the way for UT Tyler in singles, and has also made her season debut in the rankings as she comes in ranked #52 in all of Division II.
Joining UT Tyler from the Lone Star Conference in these rankings will be #11 Angelo State, #17 St. Mary's, #20 Midwestern State, and #40 Cameron.
The Patriots will open up LSC play tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. as they welcome in UT Permian Basin to the Summers Tennis Center.
