LAST TIME OUT

An impressive night from three-point range led Texas A&M International to a 72-52 victory over UT Tyler on Thursday night inside the Herrington Patriot Center. The Dustdevils matched their season-high with 11 made three pointers and shot their best percentage as a team from three-point range (45.8 percent) to secure the win over the Patriots. UT Tyler fell behind early in the contest as Texas A&M International connected on 8-from-15 (53.3 percent) from long range in the first half to hold a 41-22 advantage at the break. UT Tyler's Bryce Roberts went for a fifth-straight outing of double-digit points with a team-high 13 points. Forward Alec Zambie finished with 12 points and four rebounds.

UT Tyler's John Barbee went for a career-high 29 points in a 66-60 loss to Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday afternoon inside the Herrington Patriot Center. Barbee led the Patriots in rebounding with nine rebounds as well for the career afternoon for the Tacoma, Wash. product. That afternoon was out-shined by a strong second half of play from Texas A&M-Kingsville that saw the Javelinas outscore the Patriots 41-to-29. Texas A&M-Kingsville scored the first nine points of the second half to quickly wipe away the Patriot lead in the first four minutes of the second half. Texas A&M-Kingsville, who shot just 10-for-28 (35.7 percent) from the field in the first half, knocked down eight of their first 12 shots in the second half. UT Tyler never managed to whittle the deficit down to a single possession through the final 3:27 of the contest as Texas A&M-Kingsville went 7-for-8 from the free-throw line down the stretch to close out a half in which the offensive unit went 12-for-28 (42.8 percent) from the field.

WHAT COACH MOSER IS SAYING

On his thoughts on last week's losses at home to Texas A&M International and Texas A&M-Kingsville...
"I thought Texas A&M International came in and played well, they shot the ball really well, better than they have all year. Alot of that had to do with us though, we didn't come out with alot of energy and it's been difficult to keep our kids going and believing because we've lost. I thought we did come out alot better, even down a starter, on Saturday against Texas A&M-Kingsville. We played hard as a group., started John Barbee who I thought obviously gave us some really good minutes. We've got to dig in and keep battling and keep growing."

On what his team hopes to get out of a trip to (RV) Lubbock Christian and #1 West Texas A&M... "Those two programs are kind of the pillars of this league. We're going in there as a team to see where we need to go as a program. I think we're just as a group excited to go against two very talented programs, we respect the heck out of both of them, and we want to see where our future has to be. I want to see how our kids compete, there's no pressure on us, so we're going to go in there and fight and try and be a tough out for both Lubbock Christian and West Texas A&M."
