TYLER, TEXAS – College Sports Communicators has announced the 2024 Men's Soccer Academic All-District Teams, and
Omar Belahna and
Bryan Rivas-Guzman of UT Tyler men's soccer have earned selection for the prestigious award.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. In order to be considered eligible, athletes must boast a 3.50 GPA or higher, competed in 90% of a team's games, or start 66% of a team's total games played.
Belahna, a senior from Sassuolo, Italy, played in all 17 games for the Patriots this season. He scored three goals and chipped in two assists while playing over 1,000 minutes for the Patriots in a critical midfielder position.
Rivas-Guzman, a senior from Houston, Texas, also played the midfield for the Patriots and played a big role, starting 16 of the 17 games he appeared in. He played over 1,000 minutes and recorded a goal and an assist.
The Patriots pair become the sixth and seventh different players to earn CSC Academic All-District honors since the program became Division II eligible in 2021.
