THE INDOOR SEASON
 
The Patriots have put together a brilliant run in the indoor season thus far. In total, 12 school records have been dropped, six from each team. In addition to those school records, the Patriots currenly have 14 different NCAA provisional marks as they continue to knock on the door of the NCAA Indoor Championships.
 
Of those school records, the men's side has taken down the 60, 200, and 400 meters, the 60 meter hurdles, the Distance Medley Relay, and the 4x400 relay. The women's side has taken down the 800, mile, 3,000, and 5,000 meters, as well as the 4x400 relay and the triple jump.
 
A school record has been broken in each indoor event so far this season, extending the program's record to 61 straight meets with a broken school record. The last meet that did not feature a broken school record was all the way back in 2019 at the FasTrax Athletic Collegiate indoor meet on December 7^th.
 
Of those provisional marks, the Patriots hold marks in the 60, 400, 60 meter hurdles, and 4x400 relay on the men's side. On the women's side, those marks are in the 200, 400, 800, 4x400, and high jump.
 
THE LSC CHAMPIONSHIPS
 
This year's LSC Indoor Championships will take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Nine men's teams and ten women's teams will suit up as they compete for the LSC title.
 
Each event will be scored 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 regardless of individual or relay. The all-conference first team shall consist of event winners, including all members of the winning relay teams, and athletes scoring 14 or more points at the Conference Championships Meet.  The all-conference second team shall consist of all members of second-place relay teams and athletes scoring 8-13.9 points. The all-conference third team shall consist of all members of third-place relay teams athletes scoring 6-7.9 points.
 
Action will begin on Friday with the men's and women's multi events. Field events get rolling at 3 p.m. as the men's weight throw and pole vault begin competition. Running events begin at 4:30 with the preliminary rounds of the 60 meter hurdles.
 
Saturday will see the final rounds of the men's heptathlon beginning at 10 a.m. before the men's shot put kicks off the field events at 11 a.m. The final of each running event begins at 1:30 p.m. with the championships wrapping up at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Following the LSC championships and upcoming conference championships across the country, the NCAA will make their final selections for the NCAA Indoor Championships that will be hosted on March 13-15^th in Indianapolis, Indiana.
