INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – UT Tyler women's golf will make their second trip to the NCAA West Regional Championship and first since 2023 to be contested at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas May 5-7.
UT Tyler earns the number five seed in the NCAA West Regional field and will be one of nine Lone Star Conference teams represented in the 18 team regional. Five of the top six seeds are from the LSC.
The selection into the NCAA national tournament field is the eighth for the Patriots in program history, six of which came at the Division III level (2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2009). UT Tyler finished as the NCAA Division III National Runner-Ups in both 2016 and 2013.
Each site will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently. The number of teams and individuals from non-qualifying teams at each regionals are as follows:
Central regional: 18 teams; 6 individuals;
East regional: 18 teams, 6 individuals;
South regional: 18 teams, 6 individuals; and
West regional: 18 teams, 6 individuals.
All participants will compete through the 54 holes of competition. The top four (central), four (south), five (east) and five (west) teams along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the championships.
The championships will be held May 13-17 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada. The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 98.
