Arnie Taguines placed 13
th at the NCAA Division II National Championships at Boulder Creek Golf Club after wrapping up play on Friday.
Taguines, a junior, fired a final round 67 on Thursday to climb 23 spots on the leaderboard. She would place fourth amongst LSC competition and record the highest finish in the Division II era of the program by an individual at the national tournament.
She began her tournament with a one over par 73 on Tuesday that featured one birdie, two bogeys, and 15 pars. She followed that effort up with another 73 on Wednesday that featured one bogey and 17 pars.
On Thursday, Taguines saw the putts begin to fall on her way to making seven birdies, including five alone on the back nine, on her way to a 67.
Taguines would lead the field with 41 pars for the week while making the fifth fewest bogeys amongst all competitors.
