RICHARDSON, TEXAS – The UT Tyler women's soccer program has been picked to finish ninth in the Lone Star Conference Preseason Poll, announced Wednesday.
The poll, along with the league's preseason player of the year honors, was voted on by LSC head coaches, sports information directors, and media members.
Five-time LSC champion DBU topped the poll with 650 points and 29 of the 45 first-place votes. Defending champion Angelo State, Texas Woman's, Midwestern State, and St. Mary's rounded out the top five.
UT Tyler earned 347 points to land in ninth place.
The conference also unveiled its preseason award winners, with Annie Rocha (St. Edward's), Parker Coe (DBU), and Amanda Farris (Texas Woman's) tabbed as the Offensive, Defensive, and Goalkeeper Players of the Year, respectively.
For the Patriots, Natalie Jones and Katelyn Walerczyk were named to the LSC Players to Watch list on offense and defense, while Emily Clark was recognized as a Goalkeeper to Watch.
UT Tyler opens the 2025 season on September 4th in Claremore, Oklahoma against Rogers State in non-conference play. The Patriots begin LSC action on September 17th at UT Permian Basin.
