INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – UT Tyler women's basketball is #7 in the second of three regional rankings as released by the NCAA on Wednesday afternoon.
The winners of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) and Lone Star Conference (LSC) Postseason Tournaments will receive the two available automatic qualifying bids into the tournament, while the final six teams of the eight-team South Central Regional Tournament field will be at-large bids determined by the NCAA selection committee.
The Patriots are #7 overall and #4 amongst LSC teams in the first ranked edition of the NCAA South Central Region rankings. These are the second of three rankings that will be released by the organization prior to the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball selection show on Sunday, March 8
th on NCAA.com.
The Patriots are one of six LSC teams in this weeks rankings, joined by Texas Woman's, West Texas A&M, Lubbock Christian, Eastern New Mexico, and St. Mary's.
UT Tyler is 18-9 on the season and 14-4 in LSC play as they head into the final weekend of the regular season where they will take on Texas A&M-Kingsville on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and Texas A&M International on Saturday at 1 p.m. Both of those games will be inside the HPC.
