TYLER, TEXAS – Summer Grubbs of UT Tyler women's track and field has begun her preparations to compete in the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas.
MAKING HISTORY
Grubbs is the first individual Division II athlete at UT Tyler to make a national event, and will look to bring home the first medal in indoor track and field for UT Tyler since 2017 when Whitney Simmons won the national championship in the weight throw.

Her mark of 3659 points in the pentathlon ranks her 12
th overall in all of Division II, and her 200 meter time of 24.28 placed her 16
th overall in Division II.
