UT Tyler Women's Golf Earns NCAA Regional Tournament Invite for First Time in Division II Era

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – The University of Texas at Tyler women's golf team has been selected to compete in the 2023 NCAA West Regional as announced by the NCAA on Monday afternoon.

The Patriots will compete in the event as part of the 2023 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships for the first time as an NCAA Division II program in just the second season of full-fledged Division II status. UT Tyler earned the no. 8 seed into the field and will compete on May 8-10 at The Golf Club of Dallas in Dallas.

A total of 48 teams and 24 student-athletes competing as individuals have been selected to participate in regional competition of the 2023 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships. The top four teams along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the championship tournament on May 16-20 at Fox Run Golf Course in Eureka, Mo.

The selection into the NCAA national tournament field is the seventh for the Patriots in program history, the previous six of which came at the Division III level (2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2009). UT Tyler finished as the NCAA Division III National Runner-Ups in both 2016 and 2013.
