EDMOND, OKLAHOMA – UT Tyler men's golf placed themselves sixth as a team at the Oak Tree Invitational at Oak Tree Country Club after a final round 298 on Tuesday.
 
The Patriots climbed two spots on the team leaderboard and earned their eighth straight top eight finish while taking down #25 Midwestern State.
 
Their final round efforts were led by Blake Harwell, who vaulted 17 spots on the individual leaderboard to a tie for fourth with an even par score of 70, the second lowest round of the day. His 70 featured a stretch that saw him play holes 11-14 in five under par to offset five bogeys.  
 
Corbin Murray jumped four spots on the leaderboard with a final round 73. He made a pair of birdies and 12 pars in his effort on his way to a tie for sixth place.
 
The scoring was rounded out by Preston DeSerrano and Preston Chabaud, who closed with scores of 77 and 78. DeSerrano made a pair of birdies, while Chabaud added another while the two combined for 20 pars. DeSerrano would finish in a tie for 34^th, while Chabaud placed in a tie for 52^nd.
 
Jacob Holloway would add a final round 81 to his tally for the week, placing himself in a tie for 79^th.
 
As a team, the Patriots finished third in the field for par four scoring, and also were third in fewest bogeys for the week. Corbin Murray tied for the tournament lead with most pars at 25, and Blake Harwell was tied for third in par three average scoring.
 
UT Tyler is next in action at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic on April 6^th and 7^th in Goodyear, Arizona at Palm Valley Golf Club.
