BOULDER CITY, NEVADA – UT Tyler men's golf sits in 14
th place after two rounds at the Las Vegas Desert Classic at Boulder Creek GC.
UT Tyler posted a team total of 293 on Monday but slipped three spots on the leaderboard as a team. They sit just 12 shots outside of the top five and five out of the top 10 in the 20 team field.
The Patriots were led on Monday by
Blake Harwell and
Preston Chabaud, who each fired an even par 72. Harwell made five birdies on the day and posted a back nine 34. Chabaud made four birdies and four bogeys to go along with 10 pars on the day.
Harwell's round bumps him up three spots on the individual leaderboard, now in a tie for 18
th place.
UT Tyler scoring was rounded out by
Jacob Holloway and
Preston DeSerrano. Holloway shot a two over par 74, and DeSerrano added a three over par 75. The pair combined for five birdies and 21 pars.
Corbin Murray also competed on Monday, firing his own three over par 75 with two birdies.
Braden Bergman competed as an individual, shooting a two over par 74.
Tuesday's final round is scheduled for an 8 a.m. local time, 10 a.m. central time shotgun start.
