INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – UT Tyler women's golf has earned their second straight NCAA West Regional Championship selected and third as a team as announced on Sunday evening.
UT Tyler is the number two seed in the West Region this season and will be one of eight Lone Star Conference teams in the 18 team field. Three of the top four seeds hail from the LSC.
This selection for the team is the ninth overall in program history and third in the Division II era. They finished as NCAA Division III National Runner-Ups in both 2016 and 2013.
The regional competition will take place May 4-6 at Pueblo Country Club in Pueblo, Colorado and will be hosted by CSU Pueblo.
All participants will compete through the 54 holes of competition. The top five (central), four (south), four (east) and five (west) teams along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the championships.
The championships will be held May 12-16 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 98.
