THE LSC TOURNAMENT
The Patriots will take on the Lone Star Conference Tournament at Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club beginning on Monday morning. The format will be 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 on Tuesday.
From there, the top four teams will advance into medal match play. The #1 and #4 seed will face off, as well as the #2 and #3 seed. The winners of those two matches will move into the championship round to determine the LSC Tournament team champion and earn the automatic bid into the NCAA West Regional Tournament.
EYES ON THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
UT Tyler as it stands is the number eight ranked team in the NCAA South Central Region rankings heading into the final week. The top 10 teams will advance into the NCAA South Central/West Region Championship to be held May 7-9 at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton, California. The top three teams at that regional tournament and top two individuals not on those teams will advance to the NCAA Championship May 18-22 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.
The Patriots have made the regional tournament each of the last two seasons, and will look to make their third straight this year. They are seeking their first appearance at the NCAA Championship at the Division II level and first since finishing third in the 2017-18 season.
